We are looking for dynamic and motivated Network Engineers to be part of our fast growing Adaptiv Networks SD-WAN service provider. You will be part of a network engineering team that is responsible for designing, developing and supporting scalable, maintainable, highly available network architectures.

The Network Engineer is a subject matter expert who diligently assists with the improvement of service level our network services; provides input to the overall architecture, governance model and provides leadership, standardization and validation of the effectiveness of our infrastructure and our edge devices.

Responsibilities

  • Motivated and passionate about learning and contributing to the team and the business with "can do" attitude

  • Liaise with the MSP service delivery teams to ensure that the customers’ requirements are fully captured and documented and that the SD-WAN solution is optimal and scalable.

  • Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues

  • Configuring and installing various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS)

  • Performing network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations

  • Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability

  • Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning

  • Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure

  • Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team

  • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution

  • Understand Firewall and DDoS

  • Act as a mentor for other engineers in the group.

  • Write, review and approve of technical documents (Knowledge and FAQ documents).

 

Requirements

  • 3+ years of proven hands-on network engineering experience

  • CCNP or higher (CCIE and/or CISSP highly valued)

  • Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS)

  • Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model

  • Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools
